Guard More Pest Control Inc BBB Business Review

Guard More Pest Control Is Now a BBB Accredited Business

We are proud to announce that Guard More Pest Control (BBB profile) is now a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business. Accreditation means we have formally committed to BBB's Standards for Trust and agreed to be held accountable to them by an independent organization, in front of every homeowner and business across the Greater Toronto Area.

"Our clients already trust us with their homes. BBB accreditation lets them hold us to that trust publicly, through an organization that has nothing to gain from taking our side."
— Gary Chan, co-founder and co-president at Guard More Pest Control Inc.

What is the Better Business Bureau?

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a non-profit organization that helps people find businesses they can trust. Founded in 1912, BBB has spent more than a century setting standards for honest advertising and ethical business practices across North America. Trust has been its founding principle from the start.

Today BBB operates as a network of independent local BBBs serving communities across Canada and the United States. Each local BBB manages business profiles, customer reviews, complaints and accreditation in its own area. The network is coordinated by the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABBB), which sets shared standards and runs BBB.org.

For consumers, BBB offers business profiles, customer reviews, complaint resolution and scam alerts. For businesses, it offers standards-based accreditation that rewards transparency and responsiveness.

What is BBB Accreditation?

BBB accreditation is not automatic, and not every business qualifies. An accredited business pays an annual fee that supports BBB's work, but money alone does not buy accreditation. To be accredited, a business must affirm that it meets BBB's eight Standards for Trust and must keep meeting them to remain accredited:

  1. Build Trust — Establish and maintain a positive track record in the marketplace.
  2. Advertise Honestly — Follow established standards of advertising and selling.
  3. Tell the Truth — Represent services honestly, with clear disclosure of all material terms.
  4. Be Transparent — Openly identify who owns the business and where it operates, and disclose all policies and guarantees up front.
  5. Honor Promises — Abide by all written agreements and verbal commitments.
  6. Be Responsive — Address customer disputes quickly, professionally and in good faith.
  7. Safeguard Privacy — Protect customer information and collect only what is needed.
  8. Embody Integrity — Approach every job and every transaction with integrity.

Accredited businesses also agree to respond to any complaint BBB forwards to them and to take part in mediation or arbitration when BBB requests it.

What This Means for GTA Homeowners and Businesses

Most pest problems don't wait. When you find bed bugs in a mattress seam or a wasp nest above the front door, you need someone fast, and you are letting that person into your home or business. BBB accreditation gives you an independent way to check who you are hiring before they arrive, and a defined path to resolution if a job ever falls short.

‍Choosing Guard More means choosing:

  • Accountability beyond our own website — Our BBB profile is public, and any concern you raise there is one we have committed to answer.
  • Licensed & insured technicians — All Guard More technicians hold valid Ontario Exterminator licences and operate under full liability coverage protecting you and your property.
  • Transparent, flat-rate pricing — No surprise fees after the job is done. We quote before we treat.
  • Industry-standard training — We are members of the SPMAO, CPMA and NPMA and the National Wildlife Control Operators Association.
  • Proven results, verified by real clients — BBB accreditation sits alongside our HomeStars 2026 Best Of Award and our Google and HomeStars reviews.
"Pest control is a trust business. Accreditation is how we show our clients that our standards hold up to outside scrutiny, not just our own."
— Jason Chan, co-founder and co-president at Guard More Pest Control Inc.

Our Commitment Going Forward

Accreditation is not a one-time badge. BBB expects accredited businesses to keep meeting its standards on every job. We see it the same way: every inspection, every treatment and every follow-up is a chance to show that the trust our clients and BBB have placed in us is earned.
