What Our Customers are Saying
We had a serious issue with raccoons in the attic, and Gary handled it flawlessly from start to finish. He quickly identified the problem and used a humane and effective trapping method to remove the raccoons. What really impressed me was that he didn’t just do a quick fix—he returned after a week to make sure there were no more animals left, which gave us real peace of mind.
Gary went above and beyond with the prevention work. He installed durable wire mesh over every roof and plumbing vent to ensure nothing could get back in.In addition to the high-quality work, his pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the level of service and attention to detail provided.Professional, thorough, and detail-oriented—Gary truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend his services to anyone dealing with wildlife issues in their home.

Called Gary and he was able to come almost immediately. He did a great job and went above and beyond. Explained everything in detail and was very thorough. He took his time to find and patch up/cover up any possible entry points where rodents could enter, inside and outside. He even had a drone to check the roof. This is my third exterminator and I will not be looking elsewhere! Extremely fair pricing and did a way better job than my last experiences. Highly recommend.

I have an ongoing raccoon problem in my backyard. Gary from Guard More Pest Control Inc exceeded my expectations! He was professional, helpful and friendly. He removed the raccoon feces off of my deck and cleaned up the area (this is an after photo of the cleanup, where the wood used to be a black colour). He sprayed animal repellent and bug spray at the front of my house and in my backyard. He also put a mesh cover to prevent the raccoons from returning (see attached picture). Gary went above and beyond with the services and his prices are reasonable. I'm very happy that Gary reached out to me, and I would definitely recommend him to family and friends!

Strongly recommend! Gary helped us with our small bed bug infestation for a very reasonable price. He's a hard worker with a customer-centric approach. The preparation guides were a bit off in several places, but Gary clarified and answered my questions very promptly and in detail. Both treatment sessions went extremely smooth.

Complete Pest Control Services
for Vaughan Homes and Businesses
Every treatment is species-specific. We identify the pest, locate the colony or entry point, and apply the right combination of Health Canada-registered and approved products. We do not use a not a generic spray-and-pray approach because that will never remove the pests.
German cockroaches spread through shared plumbing and electrical chases in Vaughan's condos, restaurants, and apartment buildings — a single unit can re-infest an entire floor. We use gel baits, non-repellent residual treatments, and insect growth regulators, and coordinate building-wide treatment for multi-unit properties. All treatments meet York Region Health compliance requirements for food businesse.
COCKROACH CONTROL
Yellow jacket and bald-faced hornet nests peak July through September in Vaughan's older neighbourhoods, often established under deck boards, in wall voids, or in overhanging soffits. We treat nests directly at dusk when foragers are inside, using residual dustable insecticides that prevent re-establishment. Emergency same-day service available.
WASP CONTROL
Vaughan is Canada's #29 rattiest city. We locate all entry points, install tamper-resistant bait stations, seal gaps with heavy-gauge steel, and return to confirm elimination. Active construction zones are displacing established rat colonies into nearby homes right now.
RODENT CONTROL
Raccoons enter attics through roof-soffit intersections, plumbing mats, and damaged fascia, which are especially common in Vaughan's older housing stock. From April to August, kits must be hand-removed before sealing. We are NWCOA-certified, use humane reunion-box protocols during baby season, and provide a lifetime warranty on all exclusion coverings.
RACCOON REMOVAL
Grey squirrels have two litter seasons in Vaughan: March to April and July to August. They chew through roof vents, soffits, and fascia to access warm attic spaces. We install one-way exclusion doors, confirm all animals have exited, and seal every secondary access point with galvanized steel. Lifetime guarantee on all coverings installed.

The Guard More Process
- Inspect & Identify: We identify the exact species before we do anything else because different pests require different treatments. Pharaoh ants, carpenter ants, rats, and raccoons all require completely different protocols. Wrong identification means wasted treatment and a recurring problem. We inspect entry points, nest sites, conducive conditions (moisture, food, access), and map the full extent of the infestation.
- Targeted Treatment: We apply the appropriate combination of Health Canada-registered and approved products (insecticides, rodenticides, bait stations, traps, exclusions) based on the species and infestation severity. Some examples are slow-acting non-repellent baits for ants and cockroaches (so the active ingredient reaches the queen via trophallaxis), tamper-resistant rodent stations with sealed entry points, exclusion hardware for wildlife, and residual perimeter treatments where warranted. Never a one-size-fits-all spray.
- Seal & Exclude: For rodents and wildlife, treatment without exclusion is temporary. We seal entry points with commercial-grade materials — 16-gauge galvanized steel mesh, heavy-gauge flashing, and expansion-resistant sealants — after confirming the structure is clear. All exclusion coverings on wildlife work come with a lifetime warranty. For insects, we advise on structural and environmental factors that will need remediation to prevent re-infestation.
- Follow-Up & Guarantee: We provide a 30 to 60 days for most insect treatments because the multi-month life cycles of ants, cockroaches, and bed bugs mean a single visit is rarely sufficient based on infestation level. Bed bugs always require 2 visits to break the reproduction cycle and known as 'super bugs' due to ability to grow resistance to chemicals over time. Our work is backed by a written re-treatment guarantee. If the pest returns within the guarantee period, we return at no charge.
Vaughan Pest Trends You Need to Know
Wasps Across Every Vaughan Neighbourhood: Vaughan's predominantly suburban character (large lots, vinyl-clad exteriors, landscaped gardens, and backyard structures) provides abundant nesting sites for paper wasps, yellowjackets, and hornets. This is the single most consistent pest complaint across the entire city, from Woodbridge to Kleinburg to Maple. Nests build under eaves, in garden sheds, and along fence lines from June through September. Vaughan's newer homes with extensive landscaping are particularly vulnerable to early-season nest establishment.

Field Mice in Maple & Kleinburg: Maple and Kleinburg border active farmland and the Kortright Centre conservation area. Field mice displaced by annual crop harvesting surge into nearby homes every autumn as outdoor food sources diminish and temperatures drop. This is a highly predictable seasonal pattern specific to Vaughan's agricultural-edge communities with homes closer to active farmland seeing this pressure most acutely, while homes further into established subdivisions see less.

Wildlife Along the Humber River Valley: Woodbridge and Thornhill, Vaughan's more established communities along the Humber River valley, face consistent wildlife pressure from the ravine system that runs through them. Raccoons and squirrels here are the most active in Vaughan, denning in attics and garages through wooded conservation corridors that connect directly to residential streets. This pressure doesn't have the sharp seasonal spike of agricultural-edge mouse activity, it's actually a steady year-round baseline that requires proactive exclusion rather than reactive response.

Carpenter Ants in Pine Valley & Wooded Lots: Vaughan's most prevalent insect pest is the carpenter ant, particularly in detached homes bordering wooded conservation zones in areas like Pine Valley and Sugarbush. Mature trees and shaded backyards maintain high moisture levels year-round which are ideal harborage conditions that drive satellite colonies into home framing. Notoriously destructive, they bore tunnels into wooden structures, creating a potentially hazardous situation if early detection and quick action don't happen.
